About Us

Australia’s Premier Relocators (APR) was established in 2005.

This was in response to the increased demands of skilled migrants coming to Australia, but who were being poorly managed by their new employer who had neither the time or skills internally to handle the arrival needs of the new employee and their family.

Whilst the need for skilled migrants has grown exponentially many companies are not resourced to manage the complete relocation process efficiently and more importantly effectively for the new employee. APR’s research shows that whilst migrants are generally excited and happy to relocate to Australia, their first experience, which is crucial to the confidence and contentment of the individual (and family members) is often undermined by poor relocation procedures and communication.

What people are concerned with when relocating

Areas of concern for new arrivals vary from the actual visa application, ticketing, scant arrival details, inappropriate accommodation (particularly for family packages), through to the complete lack of orientation information regarding schools, banking, medical systems/insurance and geographic/socio economic indicators regarding housing. A lack of communication from the new employer was the single biggest issue experienced by migrants.

We project manage your relocation

For a number of companies, the task of project managing someone’s relocation is not allocated to a specific individual or department. Therefore it is managed in an ad-hoc fashion and poorly delivered. The impact of this on the applicant and the company cannot be underestimated. If the relocation is managed poorly, it reflects badly on the organisation. This can vary in severity from: “if they can’t even manage my arrival, what sort of an organisation are they …. Do I want to work for them?”. Through to a family relocation going so badly they either never arrive or return soon after.

If a person has chosen to relocate their entire family away from their country of origin, friends, family and social networks the responsibility for that decision weighs heavily. The individual is looking to their new employer to make the transition as smooth and appealing as possible. Without sounding trite, a happy home makes for a happy and productive employee. If the partner struggles to settle in Australia the financial implications of losing that employee are costly.

APR’s services have been well received by our clients and migrants alike. We provide a 24 hour seven day-a-week service, which is essential when managing people living in different time zones. This has been a particular point of difference to our competitors. Our clients have found that by having a dedicated resource to manage the relocation process their prospective employees are managed professionally.

In summary, APR has improved the migration experience for new employees and their families, which has tangible benefits for the employer:

  • A dedicated professional resource;
  • Unburden the responsibility and resources of the employer required to manage a relocation; and
  • Economic security – (the cost of an employee declining a contract or resigning through family pressures caused by mis-management of the relocation process).
